Chris Anderson, Editor in Chief of Wired Magazine
, writes the article titled: Free! Why $0.00 Is the Future of Business. The article caught my eye and now I’ve read it a couple of times. I’ve also subscribed to the RSS feed of Chris’ blog site which is a public diary on themes around the book. I’ve watched the on-line recording of him speaking with Charlie Ross. On March 26, he was also on NPR’s Talk of the Nation along with Kevin Rose, founder of social bookmarking site Digg, and Brad Feld, a venture capitalist. I listened to that as well. I haven’t read the book; however, I’ve read the comments of the book at Amazon.
Why am I intrigued by the article? The article uses words like free, abundance, and infinity (unlimited) with regard the digital economy. We’ve all talked about how technology changes things but this article couches these terms in a very interesting way.
What impact will the concept in the article have? We’ll if you’re in the payments business it certainly something to think about. As a shareholder in an electronic payments company, it seems to be an important topic to follow.
